Doubles played by: Andy Davies & Tim Ngyou (BC) vs Graham Dickson & Graham Barson (XY)
A complete reversal of fortunes after last weeks white-wash against Bentley A! Tennis fielded an under-strength team, having to call up Peter Killick from their Div.2 E team, but strong performances from The Three Amigos saw off the opposition without dropping a single game from Set 5 onward. There was no stopping Andy as he got his eye in, with that devastating, wrist-flicking, top-spin backhand and pouncing on loose balls like a striking snake. Clive was rock solid as usual, having a little trouble against Dickson in the first game of the match, and casually regaining his composure against the lower-rated, but awkward, Peter Killick. In an amazing return to form, from not wining a single game in his previous two matches, zero-percent Tim didn't drop an end this time on his way to completing one of the awesome 3-man hat-tricks. In the doubles, Andy and Tim wasted no time blowing away the two Grahams whilst Clive made the teas.
'Twas a grand night that lifted Frimley A off the bottom of the table!
